The Lord bless you and keep you;
   the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;
      the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

This is the priestly benediction given to Moses (in Numbers 6) for the priests to speak over God’s people. As members of the royal priesthood of believers, you and I also have authority to speak the Lord’s peace in this world.

So, receive this blessing, that you might be a blessing to those around you. Experience the smile of God, so that your own face might shine on others. Accept this peace from God so that, through you, His way may be made known on the earth–His salvation among all nations! (Psalm 67:1-2)
